MODERN EUROPEAN HISTORY COURSE DESCRIPTIONTop of Page

Course Description

Modern European History is a history-based course that focuses on Western Civilization from classical Greece and Rome up until (ideally) the present day.  Not only will students learn about the history of Western Civilization, but they will also be asked to employ historical thinking skills that will engage students in thinking critically about who writes history, how information is presented, and what we can learn from primary and secondary sources. Students will encounter various texts which range from the textbook, primary source documents, art, music, and film.
