Technical /Manufacturing Program Manager

Our client, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of professional digital audio equipment, is seeking an experienced and proven leader to run its sales and channel marketing departments. Working out of their sunny Santa Monica, CA office, this position has a direct impact on the brand and the quality of the products they are known for. Products like Symphony I/O, Quartet, Duet, ONE, JAM and MiC have powered many of the world’s most respected studios and have been instrumental in capturing countless GRAMMY® and OSCAR® winning performances by today’s biggest artists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and recommend initiatives that improve service, reduce costs, improve quality, reduce risks, or enhance the effectiveness of the workplace.
  • Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communication to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.
  • Look for opportunities to leverage technology to achieve business unit objectives.
  • Set meeting agendas for key decisions to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized/best practice processes that create repeatable efficiencies.
  • Assemble complete project packages for approval: inclusive of a defined business objective, scope of work, detailed cost estimates, project schedule, and drawings/documents as required.
  • Manage the development and execution of projects from investigation, development, approval, and execution- resolving any issues that arise, managing to the approved scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Resource plan and manage budgets, capacity management (resources vs workload), risk management, the introduction of new projects, closure of existing projects.
  • Ensure a consistent project management approach is in place in all functions: Project scoring and prioritization models, Project/management processes and tools.
  • Collect knowledge and lessons learned from projects and update organizational assets.

Project Management

  • Conduct the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Plan, manage, and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, troubleshoot problem areas, and manage through contention.
  • Help define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical project/program management experience with manufacturing industry experience.
  • Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Develop PLCM plans (product lifecycle management)
  • Proficient with Omnify PLM
  • Offshore manufacturing experience required

Preferred Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical field
  • Experience with Embedded Processors
  • Preferred Agile, Scrum, SDLC experience

We are  looking for an exceptional candidate to expand its Technical Support staff. You will work with one of the best customer care teams in pro audio hardware to deliver support to a broad range of users from entry level to professional. The right candidate is patient, detailed oriented, and passionate about music and audio recording. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interact with end-users, dealers, and partners who need help operating their Apogee Products with programs on Mac, Windows, and iOS devices.
  • Answer customer / dealers / distributors with tech support through online live chats, tickets, emails and telephone calls.
  • Create and assist with RMA repair ticket creation and updates, quality assurance testing, and customer inquiries and responses.
  • Assist in the creation of documents detailing installation, setup, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of Apogee products. 
  • Monitor reoccurring technical issues and providing data and documentation to the QA team for product and feature improvements.
  • Monitor web groups, websites and forums for Apogee product issues and coordinate for resolution.
  • Help educate resellers, distributors and end users in selecting the optimal configurations. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 

  • Proficient with Mac and Windows computers, as well as iOS devices & peripherals.
  • Familiarized with popular DAWs such as Logic Pro X, Garageband, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, and Cubase.
  • Understanding of Analog/Digital Principals, the hardware and software components of an audio system.
  • Knowledgeable about interconnection between audio gear, able to follow signal flow, digital clocking & synchronization principles, familiar & experience with a wide range of professional and consumer audio equipment.
  • Experience with Customer Support Systems such as Zoho, Zendesk and Salesforce. 
  • Interested in computers, electronics and audio recording technology with a learning mindset.

The Role:

Reporting to the CEO. We are looking for a sales, marketing and brand leader with music/consumer and pro-audio experience. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical sales, marketing and brand plans across all channels of distribution. This hands-on position is accountable for all aspects of our world wide business including driving profitable revenue growth, developing a sales team and liaising with stakeholders  such as Creative, Artist Relations, Operations, Finance and Distributors to execute sales plans.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow our world wide business by creating and implementing strategies to meet our financial objectives
  • Lead new business development plans with new partners and new categories to increase our revenue streams
  • Develop sales “go to market strategies” that drive profitable revenue across all channels of distribution
  • Present and coordinate with Creative and Artist Relation on sales opportunities including design and channel approvals

This is a full-time job to be performed in-house at our office in Santa Monica. The ideal candidate for this position should have strong research and analytical skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining and creating new product listings by coordinating with other team members to obtain optimal copywriting, graphic design creatives, product images and product data
  • Responsible for all day-to-day operational aspects of Amazon Marketplace including inventory management, listing updates, notifications to management of marketplace policy changes
  • Analyzing effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Responsible for case resolution with Amazon 
  • Exposure  to other marketplaces like Ebay / / Walmart / Bonanza / Newegg etc
